I owned those albums on vinyl. About 10 years ago I ran across one of my Megadeth special cassette tapes and took in the car with me. I lasted 1.5 songs. A little too noisy for my older self. I get bored with artists that try to do the same thing their whole lives, partially because I sense they must be bored too. My favorite artists are people like Miles Davis. People were always saying things like "I liked the be-bop stuff he used to do, I wish he'd go back to that and quit all this cool jazz." Then a few years later they'd be saying the cool jazz was the good stuff and they wished he'd quit doing fusion, or whatever he was on to. Good post on taking risks.
